Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Are there any prerequisites for these bootcamps?

YES. Participants wishing to complete the advanced application certification process require CPoCUS Core IP certification. Those without Core IP certification must provide proof of competency in the Core applications (Subxiphoid cardiac, Aorta, eFAST, pelvis). This is done on a case by case basis.

2. Can I choose both Diagnostic and Resuscitation streams during the bootcamp?

Unfortunatley, the time requirements to complete all required scans and the three exams (written, visual and practical) do not allows combining both streams in a single bootcamp. Upon registering for the session, you will be asked to choose which stream you would like to obtain certification

3. Is there a guarantee of obtaining my advanced applications certification by the end of the boot camp?

Every effort has been made within the schedule of the boot camp to allow participants adequate opportunity to successfully complete the various aspects of certification (scans, written exam, visual exam, practical exam). However, there is no guarantee that any individual participant will pass each component of the certification within 3 days. Coming prepared to the boot camp by completing all the pre-readings will maximize your chances of success.

4. Is there a refund policy?

Refunds are provided if cancellation occurs >30 days before the start of the boot camp (minus a 10% administration fee). No refunds will be offered if cancellations are requested less than 30 days before the start of the boot camp.

5. What are the CME credits associated with this course?

The resuscitation certification program is accredited for 25 Royal College Section 3 credits and 60 Cert+ credits with the College of Family Physicians of Canada.  There are reciprocity agreements with several American associations for CME as well.
